Who we are
Hands-on meetings. Extraordinary outings.
We are not just tying knots. Lifelong friends, real skills, and unforgettable trips — from a sleeping in salt mine to sleeping in a battleship to 60 miles at Philmont to 100 miles canoeing at Northern Tier. Much of the fun paid for by fundraising.

Founded in 1971 at Immanuel Lutheran. We form godly, resourceful, resilient young men — bravery, skill, perseverance, and faith.

What age can my son join Troop 317? +
Boys aged 10 to 17 are welcome.
How often and where do you meet? +
Mondays at 7 PM, Lower Level Fellowship Hall, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 115 S 6th St, St. Charles, MO 63301.
What activities do you do? +
Camping, hiking, service, shooting sports, swimming, cooking, high adventure, museum overnights, summer camp, and more. Scouts plan at least one overnight and one day event each month. We spend most of our time doing, not lecturing.
Do I need to buy gear? +
Some basic gear is needed, you can borrow what you don't own from the troop when you start.
Can parents get involved? +
Yes. The troop runs on parent volunteers and support.
How do I sign up? +

No RSVP required. Boys 10–17. Parents welcome. The scouts run the program; we just keep the coffee hot.
